Remita Partners NIMC For Payment Of The National ID Card Renewal

Remita has announced its partnership, with The National Identity Management Commission, (NIMC), to serve, as the primary collector, for the National identity card renewal fees.

Over the years, Remita has been able to break lots of ground and provide seamless payment option, for Nigerians, living in the country and in diaspora.

The requirement entails an application letter, NIN slip, bank teller and Remita’s payment receipt, which is, to be submitted, at various NIMC offices, scattered around the country.

According to a tweet, posted on the NIMC twitter handle, which states that, “it will cost a renewal fee, of N3,000, payable, through Remita.”

Nigerians can now, authenticate their National Identity Number, (NIN), seamlessly, via the NIMC verification portal.

NIMC reports that, the main focus of this is, to ensure that, all Nigerians, have a standard issued NIN, which is important, for enrollment, which can be authenticated, via the verification portal.

Below are steps to follow, when paying, via Remita:

  1. To start the payment process, go to www.remita.net
  2. Click the option, “Pay a Federal Government Agency”.

  3. A new page will pop up. Follow the instructions and input the details below.

  • Name of MDA – Input “National Identity Management Commission”.
  • Name of Service/Purpose – click “others”.
  • Amount to Pay – Input the amount you wish to pay.
  • Pay Description – Input “Payment for (service and product you’re paying for)”.
  • Payer’s Full Name – Input your full name.
  1. An icon pops up, click on it and proceed to payment. An invoice page, will come up, displaying your Remita Retrieval Reference, (RRR), at the top of the page. Print, (you can photocopy it, if you wish), the invoice and pay close attention, to your RRR.

  2. You can now proceed, to pick the payment method, convenient for you.

  • Pay Now with Internet Banking.
  • Pay at Bank Branch.
  • Pay Now with Remita.
  • Pay Now with Cards or Wallet.
