The Nigerian Communications Commission, (NCC), has announced the development of draft Guidelines, for the use of Television White Spaces, (TVWS), for rural broadband connectivity in Nigeria. This was disclosed in a Press Release, signed by Henry Nkemadu, Director, Public Affairs, NCC.
The draft Guidelines, was developed, by the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC and the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC. He further stated that the Commission is, currently, organising an Industry consultation, to present the draft Guidelines, to all Industry Stakeholders.
Nkemadu, in the Press Release, stated that, stakeholders can access the draft Guidelines, before the Industry consultation, on the Commissions website, via this link.
Nkemadu, stated that, all stakeholders, are invited to peruse the Guidelines and provide input/feedback, on or, before the industry consultation date, that is yet to be announced.
“The feedback will give NCC/NBC, the opportunity, to make all necessary adjustments, prior to the Guidelines being finalised’, Nkemadu concluded.
