IBM Makes Some Big Announcements at IBM InterConnect 2016

When you live and survive to be 100 years plus, then, you will appreciate that people will expect nothing, but the very best from you.

Well, today a company that has surpassed the 100 year mark has made some massive announcements at the IBM InterConnect 2016 in Las Vegas that will make it remain the market leader in several areas in technology.
Here are some of the big announcements:

  1. IBM and VMware strikes a strategic partnership that will enable customers to take better advantage of cloud speed and economics. The new agreement will enable enterprise customers to easily extend their existing storage for data as they are, from their on-premises software-defined data center to the cloud.
  2. Siemen’s and IBM have announced cloud based solutions that will leverage Siemens’ building expertise and IBM Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities to maximize the potentials of connected buildings and the data they create, helping corporate real estate owners across multiple industries drive business results and meet energy efficiency goals.
  3. Bitly, which is the most used means to shorten url in the world over, has announced that it has selected IBM Cloud as its preferred cloud platform. Bitly will migrate its platform of 25 billion data-infused links to IBM Cloud to leverage its high-speed network, global scale and reach.
  4. Github, a most loved software platform used by more than 12 million developers to collaborate, announced a strategic partnership to dramatically advance the development of next generation cloud applications for enterprise customers.
