Bitcoin reached another milestone this week, when Twitter, finally, took a step, adding a bitcoin emoji.

A few days ago, after much pressure, from the crypto community that, twitter should add the bitcoin emoji, to its array of emojis available to users, Jack Dorsey and his team, finally, granted the request and released a bitcoin emoji.

This request was first championed, by Anthony Pompliano, Co-founder of Morgan Creek Digital and a popular bitcoin analyst, among the crypto community, when he tweeted about it, on October 29, 2019.

In time, the tweet spread and gained, over 2,800 retweets. Three months later, Twitter yielded, to the request.

It is, worthy to note that, Twitter is, the first social media network, to introduce the new bitcoin emoji and now, the question is: will other social media networks, follow in this footstep?

Time will tell, but for now, this is, a big win, for the crypto community, as it shows that, bitcoin is growing.

This move, by Twitter, will come, as no news, to some people as, over the years, Co-founder and CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, has never hidden his love, for bitcoin and admitted that, he held bitcoin, sometime back.

Jack has, also, been vocal, about his support, for the revolutionary currency.

The involvement of Jack Dorsey, in bitcoin, has not, only, seen the popularity of the digital currency soar, but it has, also, attracted many enthusiasts and investors, across the world.

Who knows, maybe the buzz, around the bitcoin emoji, might be one of the leverages that, will push bitcoin, to leap over the $9,500 resistance.
