Egyptian Start-up Raseedi (an Optimisation App) Raises $400,000

In an effort to keep giving users the best of product and services as, well as, provide an avenue through which users can subscribe and pay for call time and data in a fast and secure way, a start-up based in Cairo Raseedi has raised $400 000, in a seed round.

The seed round was led by 500 Start-ups, EFG-EV Fintech and Falak Startups.

The start-up helps users with dual sims manage their telecom spending by connecting the user to the cheapest call rate anytime, the user wants to make calls.

Raseedi telecom android app is embedded with the dialer and help the user select the cheapest call rate available.

According to the data released by the start-up, the app has been downloaded over 200 thousand times, and it shows no signs of stopping. T

he recently released data confirmed that it will keep growing at an exponential rate.

The optimization app also helps users calculate monthly consumption.

Users are provided with a tariff advisor that helps them calculate and choose the best and affordable plan.

Users are also informed and updated about the latest offers from telecom operators that it supports, namely Vodafone, Etisalat, Orange and WE.

Raseedi was founded in 2018 by Samuel Abd El Malak and Ahmed Atalla who in 2016 and 2017 has worked respectively for mobile network operator Vodafone’s marketing team.

It was reported by Menabytes (a tech publication platform), that Raseedi will use this seed funding to develop a new feature that will enable users to purchase Raseedi Credit instead of recharging two different SIM cards.

Ahmed Atalla, CEO, Raseedi, told the same publication that the startup is in the process of integrating with cash collection aggregators to prepare for the launch of Raseedi Credit.
