In its second season, the Africa Blockchain Summit (ABS 2019) is set to hold in Rabat, the capital city of Moroco on Thursday, November 21, 2019.
The summit aims to seek contributions towards the current global thinking on Blockchain. The theme of the summit is “Blockchain at the service of the financial sector”.
Organised by Bank Al-Maghrib (Central bank) alongside Paris Europlace in conjunction with Talan and HPS.
The summit will see the gathering of central banks, financial institutions, stakeholders in the African and international financial market involved with the development of the blockchain technology in banks, insurance, fintechs.

The summit will focus on blockchain’s latest development and how to give it support to enhance financial services.
This solution will have its discussion through 3 coordinated and complementary sequences:
The first, institutional, the Central Banks’ Conference, which will bring together Governors of Central Banks and senior African and international financial institutions’ executives in panel discussions moderated by renowned speakers.
The second will have its dedication to workshops on practical uses of the Blockchain by the financial sector.
Finally, the third event will focus on research and innovation, through a Blockchain challenge, in connection with operational concerns and the development of Proof of Concept (PoC) of blockchain solutions.
Also featuring at the Africa Blockchain Summit are debates and a challenge on blockchain technology set to reward African and foreign startups that create innovative solutions using blockchain technology.
